We are an older couple who came from out-of-state for medical treatment. Stayed in the Kalamazoo Value Place for 10 days. It met all our expectations. It was very clean, relatively quiet(except for door slamming), had adequate lighting in bathroom, fine kitchen facilities, good shower, nice fridge, and the hotel staff were easy to work with.
Posted by: Sandra on June 2, 2009 at 12:20 PMWe travel in an RV, so we had necessary kitchen supplies and utensils. Otherwise, the kitchen would have been of no use w/o investing in things like coffee maker, toaster, pots& pans, silverware.
We would stay at Value Place again!
Thanks for the inquiry, Theresa. We do not have a Value Place in Gibsonton or Brandon. The closest open Value Place would be in Lakeland, FL. Please continue to check ValuePlace.com and this blog for news on our latest openings and construction plans. Have a great summer! - Value Place
Posted by: VPFS NewsHi Sandra. Thanks for the note. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at Value Place - Kalamazoo. Have a nice summer, and we hope to have you as a guest again in the future! - Value Place
Posted by: VPFS NewsA user comment to highly recommend the Value Place in Ogden, Utah!
I am in my 2nd month here now and am enjoying the newly established monthly rate. I have surveyed the rental market in Ogden and I cannot even come close to the value and amenities I have at Ogden, Utah Valueplace. Opened in Jan 2009 the facility is clean and secure. The staff is attentive to guests needs and requests. I may stop looking for a different rental property altogether. As an older single gentleman Ogden,Utah Valueplace suits me to a Tee!
Posted by: Charlie on June 11, 2009 at 7:33 AMHI I WAS WONDERING IF SOMEONE WOULD BE ABLE TO TELL ME EXACTLY WHEN THE NEW VALUE PLACE IN SALT LAKE CITY, UT WILL BE OPENING UP. I SEE IT'S ALL BUILT BUT STILL BLOCKED OFF. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Posted by: ALYCIA on June 17, 2009 at 7:37 PMHi Alycia. Our newest Property in Salt Lake City (located at 1650 West 3500 South in West Valley) is scheduled to open July 15. While it looks like the building is complete, there are a few finishing touches to be made before we're ready for our guests. We hope you'll stop in for a tour and stay with us once our doors are open. Hope to see you in a few weeks! - Value Place
Posted by: VPFS NewsMy son-in-law stayed at your inn at Byram, MS, while working in that area. He was very impressed with the front desk people, and has made up his mind to use Value Place as he travels across the country working. He has recommended Value Place to many, many people in his line of work and we have also told everyone how wonderful your company is. That is until he encountered at problem in Byram. He knows now to demand a pre-stay and check out inspection, take photos of any damages in the room when he checks in, and get a copy of everything in writing. We have not complaints at all with Value Place as a whole and know it has been a blessing to many, many people as it was to my son-in-law. I just don't appreciate the deposit not being refunded to my credit card for damages there before he checked in.

Posted by: VPFS NewsHi I'm sherod and I live in Thomasville, North Carolina. I can see a value place being built, but I don't know when its going to open
Posted by: Sherod on July 29, 2009 at 1:51 AMHi Sherod. Thanks for the post. The Value Place in Thomasville, NC, is expected to open in mid-to-late December. Keep checking this blog and ValuePlace.com for updates on new property openings. Have a great day!
Posted by: VPFS NewsToday I called the Thomasville, NC Board of Tourism, and they told me that the Value Place may be a non-starter. After I was told this, I called the corporate office and was told the project was "on hold."
The representative with whom I spoke could only provide vague details as to why, saying that it was "because of the economy" and also due to "the construction company."
Could any of you please offer any sort of further specific information/details/updates about the proposed Thomasville location? Will the project indeed go forward at all?
